Rhoda Watkins is an accomplished tracker, seasoned naturalist, and daring adventurer, deeply committed to bridging the gap between people and the wonders of the natural world. Her remarkable journey has led her to lead expeditions in some of the most untamed corners of our planet, from the captivating Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica to the vast expanse of Namibia’s Kalahari Desert.

Originating from South Africa, Rhoda’s formative years were imbued with a profound affinity for wildlife, nature, and environmental stewardship. A drive to reconnect to her roots later inspired her return to Africa, where she pursued an immersive education in tracking formidable predators. Her quest led her to the revered San people in Namibia, esteemed worldwide as premier trackers. In a field predominantly dominated by men, Rhoda stands as one of the select few women who have delved into the intricacies of tracking with such dedication.

Her academic journey, encompassing Zoological Conservation Management, recently culminated in a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Protection and Sustainability. With this well-rounded foundation, Rhoda has imparted her knowledge to countless others in the art of tracking, foraging for sustenance and healing, essential survival skills, and the crucial principles of rewilding. Fueling her profound dedication to anthropology, Rhoda strives to resurrect ancient skills and traditions preserved by indigenous communities globally, all while raising awareness about the urgent need to safeguard our ecosystems and the precious flora and fauna within.

Beyond her educational pursuits, Rhoda spearheads a dynamic search and rescue tracking team, training runners to swiftly employ tracking techniques, drastically reducing the time it takes to locate missing individuals. A skilled medic for Mountain Rescue, Rhoda’s competencies extend to both prevention and rapid response.

Her presence has graced the screens through notable documentaries such as “Panthera Britannia,” “Panthera Britannia Declassified,” and “Big Cat Britain Declassified.” Rhoda appears as both presenter and tracker in these enthralling journeys, investigating the elusive existence of big cats like leopards and mountain lions in the UK.

Continuing her legacy on the screen, Rhoda captivates audiences as presenter and tracker in the captivating new television series “Cat Hunters,” airing on Blaze in the UK. Her latest accomplishment includes filming for  “Weird Britain” with Dragonfly Films.

In an exciting new chapter, Rhoda is fervently crafting her inaugural book, an exploration into the realm of wildlife tracking.
