This is far more than a safari.
The Ju|’hoansi & Etosha Adventure is a rare opportunity to experience Namibia through wildlife, tracking, storytelling, and genuine cultural connection. Combining time spent with the extraordinary Ju|’hoansi San people of the Kalahari with an unforgettable safari through Etosha National Park, this expedition offers a deeper and more meaningful way to explore one of Africa’s most captivating countries.
Designed to be accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities, this journey blends adventure and comfort with authenticity and immersion. Whether you are drawn by wildlife, ancient tracking skills, photography, culture, or the vast beauty of Namibia’s landscapes, this expedition offers experiences that stay with you long after you return home.
The Experience
Our adventure begins in Windhoek before travelling north through Namibia’s open landscapes to Roy’s Rest Camp, where the rhythm of life begins to slow and the stars begin to feel impossibly close.
From there we continue into the Kalahari to Djamta!ae Village, where we spend time with the Ju|’hoansi San community - one of the world’s oldest living cultures.
This is not a staged cultural performance or a brief tourist stop.
Over several days we live alongside the community, learning about traditional ways of life, tracking wildlife, listening to stories around the fire, exploring the surrounding bush, and experiencing a different relationship with nature and the land. The knowledge held here is profound - shaped by thousands of years of living closely with the wilderness.
Tracking forms an important part of the journey. Guided by Ju|’hoansi trackers, we begin to understand how the landscape can be read through footprints, sign, movement, and subtle changes in the environment.
After our time in the Kalahari, the expedition continues into Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. Staying at a series of carefully chosen camps within the park, we travel through changing landscapes in search of elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffe, leopard, hyena, antelope, and countless other species.
Etosha offers some of the finest wildlife viewing in Africa, particularly around its famous waterholes where animals gather day and night.
The contrast between the deep cultural immersion of the Kalahari and the extraordinary wildlife of Etosha creates a journey unlike any standard safari.
